From Blue Microphones’ popular Snowball, comes this portable professional USB mic called Snowflake. It’s cute, well-constructed (aluminium and plastic), and works on Mac / Windows without drivers required.
Only worry is how soft the recordings seem to be, even when I max out microphone input levels. Advice appreciated.

Cars and stone cladding will never go together. Unless it is a silver car in front of aluminium double glazing. Use of the classical dark green wooden window, door and wall contrasts is inspired. early 1920s, when the angular oriel window was in vogue. Perfect. Needs a sharper photo. perhaps the silver machine will be gone next time. nearby lived Lena Kennedy, the well known romantic writer in a similar house (but without the stone cladding)
